Jews under attack at many university campuses

I'm sure you've heard a lot about UC Berkeley.  It's not exactly an easy place for pro-Israel students.

This past week "Tikvah", the pro-Israel student group on campus, organized a fantastic campaign to show how the academic boycott of Israel is really a radical, fringe movement that silences free speech.  On September 30th, on the front page of the UC Berkeley student newspaper, a member of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) "called out" the President of Tikvah for being a Hasbara Fellow!!!

Check out the letter to the editor here: www.dailycal.org/2014/09/30/daily-cal-disclosed-op-ed-authors-affiliation-hasbara/   As many of your know, this is not the first time this has happened.  Last year anti-Israel students at UCLA tried to intimidate our Hasbara Fellows who were running for student government.  Our student didn't back down and won the election.  Our students at Berkeley also are not intimidated.

They are submitting a letter to the editor pointing out that the writer didn't disclose that SJP is closely associated with American Muslims for Palestine, a group with multiple ties to Hamas.  And that SJP members across the country have recently assaulted a Jewish student (Temple University) and posted anti-Semitic cartoons online (Vassar College).

It's not everyday that Hasbara Fellowships is on the front page of a major University newspaper, but it is everyday that our Hasbara Fellows are on the front line defending Israel on campus.
